HOW THIS IS DIFFERENTphysical therapy built for athletes not insurance companies
Traditional insurance-based clinics force therapists to see 2-4 patients per hour with limited scheduling availability for consistent care. Here we do things differently.
60-minutes of undivided care with a Doctor of Physical Therapy
Integrated strength and conditioning plan via mobile app

WHO IS THIS FORPerformance rehab for SF’s outdoor community
-
Long paddle sessions can put increased demand on your shoulder stability and postural musculature leading to increased risk of rotator cuff pathology, neck strains, and low back overload. Whether it’s mobility restrictions or muscular weakness we find what your limiting factor is to keep you in the lineup.
-
Steep terrain can put increased load through the ankles, knees, and hips commonly contributing to IT band, patellofemoral, and quad/patellar/achilles tendon issues especially with 30+ lbs on your back. Through our evaluation process we identify your limiting factors and configure a plan to get you ready to tackle any trail you set your sites on.
-
Climbing subjects your upper extremity joints and finger tendons to extreme loads. We treat A2 pulley sprains, golfer’s/tennis elbow (tendinopathy), and overhead shoulder instability through specific loading protocols.
-
Snatches, clean & jerks, heavy squatting & deadlifting require precise joint positioning and body awareness. When there is a lack of mobility in the hips, ankles, and thoracic spine along with a lack of stability in the hips, core, and overhead positioning injuries are likely to occur. We evaluate these areas and rebuild strength safely after an injury so you can return to moving heavy weight and reaching your desired totals.
-
Repetitive loading can lead to overuse injuries such as achilles/patellar/quad tendinopathy and IT band issues along with neck/lowback pain from holding static postures for long periods. Analysis of foot strike pattern, cadence, cycling positioning can help discern the contributing factors to your injury.
-
Explosive lateral shuffles, sudden stops, and high-velocity overhead serves place immense strain on your tissues and joints. Whether persistent elbow pain is ruining your backhand, a nagging Achilles tendon is slowing down your court coverage, or overhead smashes are flaring your rotator cuff tendons we target the root cause of tissue overload and rotational restrictions.

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITHRobbY Brovarnik DPT, MS
As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, former personal trainer of 8 years, and competitive Olympic weightlifter, human movement has been my life’s work. When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll find me surfing, climbing, or hiking local trails.
Conducting research in my Master’s kinesiology program and graduating from a doctoral physical therapy program has helped me rehab many patients successfully and has helped me navigate major injuries myself without surgery—I understand the emotional toll of being sidelined from the sport you love.
Combining a background in strength & conditioning with clinical science, my mission is to help you overcome pain, build resilient movement, and return to high-performance outdoor sports without long delays.
